Our client is seeking an accomplished Bordereaux Manager to lead and develop their Bordereaux function, ensuring the accurate and timely management of delegated authority data, reporting and operational processes. As Bordereaux Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bordereaux management process whilst leading and developing a team. You will work closely with Underwriters, Brokers, Insurers and internal departments to ensure all delegated authority arrangements are managed effectively and in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Lead, manage and develop the Bordereaux team, providing coaching, support and technical guidance.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, reconciliation and processing of risk and paid bordereaux.
  • Ensure the accurate administration and ongoing management of binding authorities and delegated authority agreements.
  • Monitor service levels and team performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex bordereaux, accounting and operational queries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, coverholders, insurers and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Underwriting, Compliance and Finance teams to ensure regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
  • Oversee bordereaux reporting, data quality controls and audit requirements.
  • Support onboarding of new binders and delegated authority arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, Lloyd's requirements and internal governance procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across bordereaux and delegated authority processes.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience within Bordereaux Management, Delegated Authority Operations or Underwriting Operations within the London Market.
  • Strong technical knowledge of binding authorities, bordereaux reporting and delegated authority arrangements.
  • Previous management or team leadership experience is essential.
  • Experience overseeing and developing operational teams, including performance management and mentoring.
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd's and London Market processes.
  • Experience reconciling risk and financial bordereaux and resolving complex operational issues.
  • Knowledge of insurance systems and bordereaux management platforms, ideally including Novidea.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
