Hatched Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council for a Bowling Control Clerk to join the Sports Services team within Leisure & Community Wellbeing. This is a temporary role covering maternity leave, based at the council's bowling facility in Dundonald.
About the Role
As Bowling Control Clerk, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the bowling facility, providing a friendly and efficient service to members of the public. You'll be the first point of contact for customers using the facility, helping ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-run leisure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing front-of-house customer service, including greeting and assisting members of the public
- Processing bookings, payments, and transactions accurately
- Controlling access to and use of bowling facilities in line with council procedures
- Maintaining accurate records relevant to the day-to-day running of the facility
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and council policies at all times
- Supporting the wider Leisure & Community Wellbeing team as required
About You
- Previous experience in a customer service, leisure, or administrative role is desirable
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
- Ability to handle cash/payment transactions accurately
- A flexible, reliable approach to shift-based working
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
Assignment Details
- Start date: 21 September 2026
- Duration: 28 weeks +
- Hours: 22 hours per week
- Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE (£17.73 per hour Umbrella/Ltd)
- Location: 111 Old Dundonald Road, Dundonald, Belfast, BT16 1XT
