We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established independent garage and MOT centre in Manchester, for the position of Branch Manager. This role offers a unique Branch Manager opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to lead a busy workshop, drive business growth, and develop their managerial career within a reputable company.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary of £40,000, with an achievable OTE of £45,000 plus attractive company incentives
  • Monday to Friday working week, 45 hours per week

Duties:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the branch and workshop
  • Lead and support the technical team to ensure high standards of work
  • Carry out MOT testing and support MOT operations as required
  • Diagnose vehicle faults and oversee repairs and maintenance
  • Manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor workshop performance, productivity, and profitability
  • Manage workflow, bookings, and technician workloads effectively
  • Maintain health & safety standards and enforce company procedures
  • Support and develop workshop team members
  • Drive business growth and contribute to achieving branch targets
Requirements:
  • Strong technical background within the automotive sector, ideally with MOT testing experience
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience in an automotive environment
  • Proven Branch Manager leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • Confident in client communication and customer service delivery
  • Well-organised, commercially aware, and able to prioritise workload
  • Knowledge of workshop operations and health & safety practices
  • Experience in managing workshop performance and achieving targets
