Brick cutter

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Job Description:

Net Temps Limited are recruiting a Brick Cutter to join a leading Precast manufacturer in Nottingham.

Shifts: 6am-3:30pm

Pay rate: £14+ holiday

Key Responsibilities:

• Brick Cutting & Shaping: Operate brick-cutting machines, saws, and other tools to cut bricks to exact specifications.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect and measure cut bricks to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Safety Adherence: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and organise bricks for cutting, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to meet deadlines and ensure product quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Previous experience in brick cutting, masonry, or a related field.
• Familiarity with industrial cutting tools and machinery.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and precision cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Safety Awareness:
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including equipment lockout/tagout procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in masonry or a relevant trade.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
