Bricklayer/ Mason

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Mason to join a busy construction team in Newcastle. This role involves working on a variety of residential projects, delivering high-quality brickwork or stonework to a strong standard.

Job specification:

• Laying bricks, blocks, and/or stone to detailed specifications
• Reading and working from technical drawings and plans
• Preparing and mixing mortar
• Carrying out repairs and restoration work where needed
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
• Working closely with site managers and other trades

Person Specification:

• Proven experience as a Mason / Bricklayer / Stonemason
• Valid CSCS card (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Good understanding of health and safety on site
• Own tools and PPE
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
