Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Building Safety Consultant on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced building safety professional to join a growing organisation, providing expert consultancy services to clients while ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and current industry legislation.

Main Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will attend client sites throughout the UK and internationally to carry out detailed building safety assessments and risk evaluations, contributing to the production of Building Safety Case Reports. You will provide technical guidance to clients and colleagues, review documentation, ensure compliance with current legislation, and support the development and implementation of effective safety management systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to conduct detailed building safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Compile and review Building Safety Case Reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identify safety risks and produce detailed action plans with practical recommendations.
• Lead and support advisors throughout the preparation of Building Safety Case Reports.
• Review existing safety management systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing robust health and safety management systems.
• Provide technical advice and consultancy to clients on building safety legislation and best practice.
• Support clients in complying with the Building Safety Act 2022 and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and industry developments.
• Build strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing guidance throughout projects.
• Travel throughout the UK and internationally to undertake site inspections and client meetings.

Additional Responsibilities

• Carry out quality checks on Building Safety Case Reports.
• Provide office-based technical support when required.
• Assist colleagues with technical queries and guidance.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety processes and compliance standards.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience within building safety, fire safety, health & safety or a related technical consultancy role.
• Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and current building safety legislation.
• Experience carrying out risk assessments and producing detailed technical reports.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicating with clients and providing professional technical advice.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and worldwide.
