A leading construction and facilities management company is seeking a skilled Building surveyor to join the Carlisle division, on a full time, permanent basis. . This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor looking to play a key role in delivering property repair, reinstatement, and small works projects across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out site inspections and property surveys
  • Preparing schedules of works, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Producing quotations, valuations, and project cost plans
  • Managing project budgets and controlling costs throughout the lifecycle of works
  • Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, clients, and contractors
  • Reviewing subcontractor quotations and managing supplier performance
  • Monitoring project progress, quality, and delivery against agreed programmes
  • Providing technical guidance and support to operational teams
  • Customer care

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Commercial Surveyor, or similar role
  • Knowledge of building repairs, refurbishment, and reinstatement works
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
  • A full UK driving licence
