Our client, a well-established and respected property consultancy, is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, heritage, education, and public sectors, delivering a broad range of professional surveying and project management services.

This role is ideal for a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys managing projects, delivering professional surveying services, and building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Role As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will:
  • Deliver a range of professional Building Surveying services, including surveys, defect diagnosis, dilapidations, schedules of condition, and technical due diligence.
  • Manage refurbishment, maintenance, and new build projects from inception through to completion.
  • Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent where required.
  • Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
  • Attend site inspections, project meetings, and monitor works on site.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.
  • Mentor junior team members where appropriate.
About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status (essential).
  • Proven post-qualification experience within a UK consultancy.
  • Strong experience delivering both professional Building Surveying services and Project Management/Contract Administration.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction contracts.
  • Experience working across multiple sectors.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A proactive, commercial approach to client service.
  • A full UK driving licence.
