Building Surveyor / Inspector - Property

Up to £50K + Benefits.

We are working with a Consultancy who supports a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. Seeking a permanent Building Surveyor / Building Control Inspector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Building Control inspections across a range of projects.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Provide clear technical advice to clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain detailed records.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to support compliance and delivery standards.
• Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service.

Requirements:

• Experience within Building Control, Building Inspection or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently.
• Must be a Registered Building Inspector, Class 2D–2F+, with Class 3G/H or 2F registration also accepted where applicable.
• Previous experience within a council or at least 2 years’ field experience is essential.

Hybrid or mobile working pattern depending on assignment. There is also an opportunity for contract work.
