Building Surveyor-Yorkshire

We’re currently working with a well-established and highly regarded property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join their growing Yorkshire Building Consultancy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who is early in their career and keen to gain exposure to a broad range of professional building surveying services, while being fully supported through their RICS APC and chartership journey.

The Role

As part of a experienced team, you’ll be involved in a varied workload across professional and project-based services, with clear progression and development opportunities.

Some of the sectors you will work in- Fire, Healthcare, Education, Resi, Commercial.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out building inspections, condition surveys and producing professional reports
• Assisting with refurbishment and planned maintenance projects
• Supporting contract administration duties across multiple schemes
• Preparing schedules of work and specifications
• Liaising with clients, consultants and contractors
• Supporting senior surveyors on a diverse range of projects

About You

Our client is keen to speak with candidates who are motivated, detail-oriented and looking to build a long-term career within building consultancy.

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• Progress with APC
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, including the ability to lead meetings when required
• A proactive, team-focused approach with a commitment to continuous learning
