Are you a Construction, Architectural Technology or Building Surveying graduate with AutoCAD experience, looking for an office-based technical role where you'll work on energy-efficient retrofit and external wall insulation projects?
On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist business where you'll receive ongoing training, develop your technical design skills, and work on a variety of construction projects supporting clients across the UK.
This company is looking to strengthen its technical team with a Technical Design Technician who can produce technical drawings, prepare project documentation, and support the delivery of External Wall Insulation (EWI) and retrofit projects from design through to completion.
The day-to-day of this role includes producing AutoCAD drawings and 3D visuals, preparing project specifications and U-value calculations, creating technical documentation, assisting with wind load and fixing calculations, processing site reports, liaising with clients and contractors, and supporting the wider technical team across multiple projects.
The ideal candidate will have a construction-related HND or Level 5 qualification, experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp, and be eager to develop their technical knowledge within the construction and retrofit sector.
The role:

• Technical Design Technician
• Producing AutoCAD drawings and 3D project visuals
• Preparing technical documentation, specifications and calculations
• Supporting External Wall Insulation (EWI) and retrofit projects
• Office-based role in Meltham

The person:

• HND, Level 5 or Degree in Construction, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying or similar
• Experience using AutoCAD (SketchUp experience advantageous)
• Organised, detail-oriented and eager to learn
• Knowledge of Revit, BIM or structural engineering would be beneficial but not essential
