About the role

We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join a bus cleaning team in Purfleet on Thames, starting on 31st October.

This Bus Cleaner role involves helping to maintain clean, tidy and presentable buses, ensuring vehicles are ready for service. The position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail and is happy working in a hands on environment.

As a Bus Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the bus fleet. You will work on a four day shift pattern, with exact working hours to be confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning the interior and exterior of buses as required.

• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming vehicle interiors.

• Cleaning seats, windows, floors and other internal surfaces.

• Removing rubbish and ensuring vehicles are left clean and tidy.

• Maintaining good standards of cleanliness across the bus fleet.

• Following health and safety procedures when carrying out cleaning duties.

• Completing cleaning tasks efficiently and paying attention to detail.

Skills and experience required

Essential criteria:

• A reliable and hardworking attitude.

• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

• The ability to carry out practical, hands on cleaning duties.

• The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

• Good timekeeping and a flexible approach to work.

Desirable criteria:

• Previous experience in bus cleaning, vehicle cleaning or industrial cleaning.

• Experience working in a transport, fleet or depot environment.
