We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the team and support a range of IT and business change initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with proven experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process mapping and stakeholder management.

Experience within the electricity, energy or wider utilities sector would be highly desirable, particularly where the candidate has worked within a regulatory environment.

Experience with Databricks and Genie AI implementation, alongside working within a product-led and Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business requirements gathering activities across business and technology change initiatives.
  • Support Databricks and Genie AI implementation initiatives, including requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and objectives.
  • Gather requirements and work effectively within a product-led environment, supporting product teams in defining business needs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective workshops with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Analyse, document and validate business requirements, ensuring they are clear, complete and actionable.
  • Produce detailed business requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Develop process maps to document current and future-state processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the development of effective business solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with IT, business, product and change teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Work within Agile delivery environments, collaborating with Product Owners, delivery teams and wider stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including third-party suppliers.
  • Support the delivery of IT and business change programmes from requirements through to implementation.
  • Ensure business requirements remain aligned with organisational objectives and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Identify dependencies, risks and potential impacts associated with business and technology change.
  • Support testing, validation and business readiness activities where required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience working as a Business Analyst within complex business and IT environments.
  • Proven experience with Databricks and Genie AI implementation
  • Strong experience in business requirements definition and documentation.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering.
  • Experience gathering requirements within a product-led environment.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Experience working across IT and business change initiatives.
  • Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong experience in process mapping and documenting current and future-state processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, structured requirements.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within the electricity, energy or wider utilities sector.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on business processes and technology.
  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau would be beneficial.
  • ISEB Business Analysis certification - desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with external technology or delivery suppliers.
  • Experience supporting data, analytics or AI transformation initiatives.
