Business Development & Community Engagement Executive   About Us ASL Technical is a specialist recruitment and solutions provider supporting the engineering and technology sectors. Our client is an established marketing business specialising in the high-technology electronics sector. They work with innovative businesses, from technology start-ups to established electronics manufacturers and engineering companies. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a proactive Business Development & Community Engagement Executive to join their team.   The Role This is an outreach-focused role combining business development, networking and relationship building. You will proactively identify and connect with prospective clients and individuals who could engage with their clients' marketing content. Contacts could include electronics engineers, technical specialists, media editors, journalists and industry influencers across the globe. You will also identify potential customers, from exciting technology start-ups to established electronics businesses and emerging technology innovators. The focus is on starting conversations, building relationships, generating opportunities and helping clients reach the right audiences. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach prospective clients across the electronics and technology sectors.
  • Research and engage with engineers, technical specialists, journalists, media editors and industry influencers.
  • Build relationships with international contacts and specialist communities.
  • Generate new business leads and develop commercial opportunities.
  • Use LinkedIn, email and other digital platforms to identify and connect with relevant people.
  • Promote client content, products and services to targeted audiences.
  • Follow up enquiries and conversations to develop meaningful relationships.
  • Maintain contact records, outreach activity and sales opportunities within the CRM.
  • Monitor engagement and report on outreach and business development activity.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Experience in sales, business development, lead generation or marketing outreach.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Comfortable approaching new people and building relationships.
  • Good research skills and an ability to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Confident using LinkedIn and other digital networking platforms.
  • Organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple conversations.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and target-driven.
Desirable Experience
  • B2B sales or international business development.
  • Exposure to electronics, engineering or technology markets.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or HubSpot.
  • Working with technical communities, influencers or industry media.
