The Role
You'll be responsible for developing new business, growing existing accounts and identifying opportunities to increase revenue. You'll build relationships with contractors, installers and commercial customers, becoming their trusted point of contact and helping drive continued branch growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively cold call potential customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and grow a portfolio of profitable trading accounts.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Follow up sales leads, quotations and enquiries to maximise conversion.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales across the full product range.
- Manage customer enquiries relating to pricing, orders, stock and deliveries.
- Negotiate pricing and secure profitable business.
- Work closely with suppliers and colleagues to support promotions and sales campaigns.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Keep CRM and customer records up to date.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A confident and resilient salesperson who isn't afraid of making outbound calls.
- Experienced in internal sales, telesales, business development or account management.
- Target driven, competitive and motivated by achieving results.
- Excellent at building rapport and developing lasting customer relationships.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage their own workload.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while driving sales.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within wholesale, construction supplies, industrial distribution or a similar B2B environment.
- Experience selling to contractors, installers, M&E companies or trade customers.
