Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 basic + car allowance + bonus

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager. This is a key strategic role focused on expanding presence within the healthcare sector, developing long‑term partnerships, and driving revenue growth across the region.

To succeed in this role, you must bring a proven track record within the healthcare sector someone who understands the market, recognises workforce challenges, and can confidently open doors at senior level.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Growth:

  • Identifying, targeting, and securing new business opportunities across the healthcare sector

  • Developing and executing growth strategies to expand market presence in the Midlands

  • Conducting client meetings, presentations, and negotiations with senior stakeholders

  • Building a strong pipeline of opportunities and managing the full sales cycle

  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy

Client Relationship Management:

  • Building and nurturing long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers

  • Understanding client needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions

  • Ensuring exceptional service delivery and maintaining high client satisfaction

  • Working closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure smooth onboarding and fulfilment

Commercial Leadership:

  • Achieving revenue targets and contributing to overall business performance

  • Identifying opportunities to upsell, cross‑sell, and maximise account value

  • Representing the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and sector forums

  • Providing regular reporting on sales activity, forecasts, and performance metrics

You’ll be a confident, strategic, and relationship‑driven professional who thrives on winning new business and building meaningful partnerships.

Essential experience:

  • Proven track record within the healthcare sector (non‑negotiable)

  • Demonstrable success in business development, sales, or account growth

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert opportunities

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal teams

  • A proactive, ambitious, and results‑focused mindset

  • Full UK driving licence (due to travel across the Midlands)
