Business Development Manager - About the Role:


Hudson Lifting Limited are looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our growing team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.


You'll be responsible for developing existing customer accounts, seeking out new opportunities, and promoting our products and services to maximise sales performance. Working closely with our sales and marketing teams, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve our growth ambitions.


Business Development Manager - Key Responsibilities:


- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers

- Visit customers regularly to understand their needs and identify opportunities for growth

- Maximise sales opportunities within existing accounts

- Identify and secure new business opportunities

- Develop and convert dormant and zero-spend accounts

- Research trade publications and industry news to identify upcoming projects and opportunities

- Promote monthly offers, new products, and services

- Deliver against an 8-week contact plan, including cold calling and prospecting activities

- Conduct customer mailshots and follow-up calls to generate business opportunities

- Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to develop social media content and marketing collateral

- Represent and promote the company's values, culture, and reputation at all times

- Maintain accurate customer and prospect records


Business Development Manager - What We're Looking For


- Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development

- Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities

- Self-motivated, commercially aware, and proactive in identifying opportunities

- Full, clean driving licence and ability to work independently

- Strong organisational and planning skills

- Customer-focused, solution-oriented approach with ability to build rapport quickly

- Personable, professional, and approachable with a positive "can-do" mindset

- Desirable: industry knowledge, CRM system experience, or understanding of marketing and social media
