Business Development Manager in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of an established business based in Hoddesdon for a Business Development Manager on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a high-growth, builder’s role starting with a blank canvas. Your focus will be building a client portfolio from scratch, with the target of achieving £300k in monthly revenue within six months, a book of business you will then own, nurture, and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively prospect, pitch, and secure high-value commercial accounts to drive purchase order volume.
• Manage and scale a monthly pipeline of £300k+, capitalising on existing workshop capacity to significantly expand job volume beyond current levels.
• Oversee the complete client lifecycle, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure seamless service delivery, transparent communication, and exceptional client retention.
• Represent the brand across the commercial sector, strengthening market reputation and building strategic, long-term industry relationships.
• Partner effectively with an internal appointment setter to convert qualified leads and maximise meeting outcomes.
   

The successful candidate will have:

• A proven B2B sales background, ideally in automotive, commercial vehicles, or accident repair.
• Experience building a pipeline from scratch and closing deals quickly.
• Strong account management skills to retain and grow existing clients.
• A self-driven mindset, confident in hitting targets and reporting directly to Directors.
• A valid UK driving licence.
