Business Development Manager Environmental

We have an urgent requirement for a Business Development Manager to join a steady but expanding, highly successful Environmental Consultancy. Suitable applicants for this role will have prior business to business sales skills ideally in a complex, strategic selling capacity. As Business Development Manager roles go, this is one which rewards relationship building consultancy skills with opportunities for steady advancement within an Environmentally friendly, team oriented organisation.

Within the role you will be tasked with building and maintaining long-term relationships with an existing established portfolio of clients. Your role will be to optimise these relationships to ensure the company is able to satisfy the environmental requirements of current legislation within the building, development and planning sectors.

Working closely with the Managing Director and the Business Development Director you will assist in strategy development as well as client liaison, opportunity identification, attending conferences and networking events.

It is anticipated the role will be predominantly office based in the early days whilst you gain a thorough appreciation of the market sector and the complex planning procedures. In time a more hybrid opportunity might be available, however the company is able to offer significant flexibility for work arrangements around family commitments.
