Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (with occasional client travel)

The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strong client relationships and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll work closely with the operations team to ensure a seamless client experience while helping to shape the future of the sales function.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity across England and Wales.
- Build, develop and manage a portfolio of new and existing commercial clients.
- Maintain regular client contact to build long-term relationships and maximise opportunities.
- Accurately manage and update the CRM system with all sales activity.
- Prepare client proposals, account documentation and information packs.
- Attend sales meetings, networking events, exhibitions and client hospitality events when required.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and operations teams to deliver outstanding service.
- Contribute to weekly sales meetings and business development planning.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within the plumbing, drainage, construction or related sectors.
- Minimum of 10 years' sales experience.
- Experience working within, or alongside, the Facilities Management (FM) sector.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail with strong administrative skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot experience would be advantageous).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and support others as the role develops.
