The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Improvement Manager to join a growing organisation operating within the Renewables, Energy and Utilities sector.

Based from the company's Sheffield office, this is a key role responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the business, while driving operational improvements, supporting commercial performance and helping the organisation scale sustainably.

We are looking for someone who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level. someone who can understand the bigger picture but isn't afraid to get into the detail and make things happen.

The role would suit an experienced Operations Manager, Business Operations Manager, Operational Excellence Manager or Business Improvement professional who has worked within a fast-paced energy, utilities, engineering, infrastructure or renewable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day business operations across multiple functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Develop and implement processes, systems and procedures to support business growth.
• Monitor operational performance against agreed KPIs and business objectives.
• Work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic business and operational plans.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Analyse operational data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with commercial, technical, finance and operational teams.
• Support the development and implementation of new systems and processes.
• Ensure operational activity is delivered in line with company policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Help develop a high-performing, accountable and commercially focused operational culture.
• Provide regular reporting and insight to the senior leadership team.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced operational professional with a strong understanding of business processes, performance improvement and commercial operations.

You Will Ideally Have:

• Previous experience in a Business Operations, Operations Management, Business Improvement or Operational Excellence position.
• Experience within renewables, utilities, energy, engineering, infrastructure or a closely related sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how operational decisions impact business performance.
• Proven experience of improving processes, systems and operational performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and working across different business functions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to influence and engage people at all levels of an organisation.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
