An established and growing accountancy practice in Wellingborough is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior to join its friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio while enjoying the benefits of a genuine 4-day working week.

The Role

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services to a broad range of businesses. Working closely with managers and junior team members, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent client experience while supporting the development of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare management accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Complete VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Review work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and support.
• Liaise with auditors and other professional advisers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Identify opportunities to add value through business advice and additional services.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• ACCA qualified, part-qualified or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory and management accounts.
• Experience with corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns.
• Working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A proactive approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
