Students understand the basics — they need help explaining the bigger picture.

As a Business & Economics Teacher, you will teach KS4 and KS5 students how to apply concepts, analyse data, and structure clear written arguments.

Key responsibilities
Teach Business and Economics across KS4 and KS5
Explain key topics such as markets, finance, and decision-making
Support structured essay and exam responses
Use real-world examples in lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams
Track progress and provide feedback
Maintain structured classroom routines

The classroom environment
Lessons are logical and structured
Students understand how to apply knowledge
Discussion is purposeful
Behaviour is calm and focused

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Business, Economics, or related subjects
Strong analytical and explanation skills
Organisation and planning
Classroom management

What success looks like
Students produce more structured answers
Improved exam confidence
Clear understanding of concepts

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with business, finance, or economics backgrounds
