Think FE are recruiting for a Business Lecturer to join a well-established further education college in Northamptonshire. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Business professional or lecturer who is passionate about developing the next generation of business professionals.
The role will involve delivering high-quality teaching across Further Education, with opportunities to contribute to Higher Education provision. You’ll teach and support students across Business programmes while helping to develop engaging, inclusive courses that respond to the changing needs of industry.
The Role
As a Business Lecturer, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Business teaching across full-time, part-time and short-course provision.
- Act as a course tutor, supporting students' progress, attendance and achievement.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Business programmes.
- Create high-quality, motivational and inclusive learning experiences.
- Support students through effective teaching, pastoral care and academic guidance.
- Participate in internal verification and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain accurate learner records and complete relevant course administration.
- Contribute to student recruitment activities and wider college events.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout your work.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally be a qualified Business Lecturer, although applications are also welcomed from experienced Business professionals who have the right subject knowledge and are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
Essential requirements include:
- A Degree, HNC or equivalent vocational experience in a relevant discipline, such as Business, Business Management, Business Analytics or Business Marketing.
- GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong practical experience within Business management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and support learners from a range of backgrounds.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
- An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to complete the appropriate process.
Experience teaching within FE or HE, delivering BTEC Level 3 programmes, course management, and relevant assessor/verifier qualifications would all be advantageous.
