As a Butchery Shop Manager, you'll take ownership of a busy traditional retail environment, combining hands-on butchery expertise with commercial responsibility for sales, standards, stock and your team.

Your responsibilities as Butchery Shop Manager
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the shop, ensuring consistently high retail standards
  • Prepare and present meat to an excellent standard while maintaining attractive, well-stocked displays
  • Drive sales through effective merchandising, product presentation and appropriate upselling
  • Manage stock levels and ordering while controlling waste and maintaining product availability
  • Lead and develop the shop team to deliver consistently high standards of service
  • Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety and operational requirements
 
What we’re looking for in a Butchery Shop Manager
  • Proven experience within retail butchery, including strong practical butchery skills
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a busy food retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and waste control
  • A thorough understanding of food hygiene and health and safety requirements
  • Experience of merchandising, retail presentation and delivering strong sales performance
 
Working hours: 42 hours per week
