Are you an experienced Buyer with a background working for a residential developer or housebuilder?

Our client, a leading national residential developer, is looking to appoint a Buyer on a temp-to-perm basis to support a busy regional business with a strong pipeline of new housing developments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procuring materials and plant in line with project programmes.
• Obtaining and analysing supplier quotations.
• Negotiating prices, terms and supply agreements.
• Managing supplier relationships and performance.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials to multiple live sites.
• Monitoring market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Working closely with Commercial, Technical and Construction teams.
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and reporting.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Buyer within a residential developer or housebuilding environment is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and supply chains.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems e.g COINS.
• Full UK driving licence.
