We're looking for a Buyer to join our growing team in Luton. What You'll Do

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement and delivery of products while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting inventory optimisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Managing MRP requirements for assigned suppliers, raising and processing purchase orders in line with agreed lead times, pricing, and supplier terms.
  • Maintaining optimum stock levels and supporting inventory availability.
  • Coordinating supplier deliveries, managing global shipments, raising ADV documentation, and applying correct costs.
  • Expediting outstanding orders to ensure continuity of supply and proactively communicating potential risks or delays to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing supplier order books and updating SYSPRO to maintain accurate purchase order data, including quantities, pricing, delivery dates, and product information.
  • Monitoring and responding to Live Agent tickets in line with agreed service levels.
  • Creating new parts within SYSPRO and maintaining purchasing data to support accurate availability information.
  • Working closely with internal teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, or a similar role.
  • Experience managing international or global supply chains.
  • Good understanding of international shipping requirements, including Incoterms, freight arrangements, and associated responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems, ideally SYSPRO.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
