Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join a well-established organisation based in Fareham, Hampshire on a fixed-term contract for an initial 3–6 month period.

• Competitive salary of £45,000–£50,000 pro rata
• Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with suppliers, obtaining quotations and negotiating the best commercial terms.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through the company's ERP/MRP system.
• Ensure pricing, delivery schedules, technical requirements, and commercial specifications are accurately defined and agreed.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality and delivery KPIs.
• Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supplier management activities.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:

• Purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain roles.
• Engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or mechanical environments.
• ERP/MRP systems, ideally Syspro or SAP.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Supplier negotiations and performance management.

You'll also possess:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.

CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
