The Role
As a Buyer, you will provide essential procurement support across multiple projects, managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement schedules to ensure project success. Your daily responsibilities will include preparing RFQs, evaluating quotations, maintaining procurement records, and supporting supplier performance reviews. You will also assist in tendering processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards.

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
  • CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent) - Essential
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent - Relevant training will be provided if required
  • Proven experience in sourcing, RFQ management, and supplier engagement in engineering, defence, or manufacturing environments.
  • Extensive understanding of commercial, technical, and quality requirements in procurement.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing packages simultaneously.
  • Proficient in procurement systems, Microsoft Office, and document management.
  • Knowledge of project-based procurement processes and governance standards
