Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Buckinghamshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.
This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and learn in a fast-moving business that is open to supporting the successful candidate in the journey to complete CIPS.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, raise and process all purchase orders
- Source and negotiate key items with suppliers
- Ensure orders are progressing in a timely and effective manner
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand current and upcoming purchasing requirements
- Support with company indirect purchases
- Research and source alternative means of supply for urgent requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a Purchasing or Buying role
- Ideally part qualified in CIPS or with a willingness to complete with company support
- Experience with an ERP/MRP system
- Some knowledge of import/export procedures
- Good IT skills including Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
