C&I Commissioning Technician

Astute's Power Team are currently recruiting a C&I Commissioning Technicians to join the EPC Contractors commissioning team for their Waste to Energy facility based in Scotland on an initial 12 months contract basis.

The C&I Commissioning Technician positions come with a day rate from £400.00 to £450.00 outside of IR35.

Role responsibilities and key skills for the role:

• Carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning of field instrumentation, including transmitters, switches, analysers, control valves and actuators.
• Perform inspections, calibration verification, loop checks, functional testing and I/O verification across DCS, PLC and SCADA systems.
• Complete commissioning documentation and check sheets, recording test results, calibration data, punch items and deficiencies in real time.
• Conduct system walkdowns, mechanical completion inspections and punch-list close-out, updating P&IDs, loop diagrams and other drawings where required.
• Coordinate with commissioning engineers, construction teams, vendors and subcontractors, reporting progress, issues and outstanding activities to senior personnel.
• Maintain strict HSE and compliance standards, following RAMS, Permit to Work, isolation procedures, hazardous-area requirements and company/site procedures.
