About our Client hiring a Design Engineer:
An established UK manufacturing and engineering business, designing, manufacturing and installing specialist engineered products for commercial projects. They are now seeking a capable Design Engineer to join their team and support multiple live projects.

Key Responsibilities as a Design Engineer:
Compile detailed production-ready manufacturing drawings in line with engineering schedules
Create accurate component lists to support manufacturing requirements
Produce site layout drawings and assembly instructions for live projects
Liaise with production teams to provide the technical information required for manufacture
Support multiple projects at the same time while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Requirements for the Design Engineer role:
Mechanical engineering background
Strong educational background, ideally degree level or equivalent
Able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
Good understanding of production-ready engineering drawings and component documentation
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal errors
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Desirable experience for the Design Engineer role:
Experience using AutoCAD
Previous experience creating manufacturing drawings
Previous experience producing site layout drawings or assembly instructions
Background working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Experience liaising with production or manufacturing teams
Degree or equivalent qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline
