CAD Technician in Immingham

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a CAD Technician for our client located in Immingham. This is a contract role for 4 months, working full-time Monday - Friday. 

As the CAD Technician you will be required to provide drafting support for the Project Engineering deliverables, including the creation, updating, amendment, revision and issue of drawings in AutoCAD format. This includes incorporating red line mark-ups, comments, design development changes and review comments provided by the Employer and other teams. Supporting the development and issue of project drawings at each required stage, including drawings issued for HAZOP, issued for design, issued for construction and deconstruction, and any associated comment, revision or approval stages.

The drawings to be prepared, updated or revised may include, but are not limited to, the following disciplines and deliverables:

a) Process drawings

i) HAZOP P&IDs;

ii) issued for design or construction P&IDs; iii) PFDs and other process-related drawings.

b) Electrical drawings

i) single line diagrams issued for design or construction; ii) other

electrical project drawings as required.

c) Control and instrumentation drawings

i) hazardous area classification drawings;

ii) DSEAR drawings;

iii) instrumentation and control drawings issued for design, construction or other project stages.

d) Mechanical and civil drawings

Qualifications or equivalent experience

• Qualifications to include Level1&2 certificates covering CAD basics, T level and diplomas in CAD or Autodesk Certified Professional certifications from CAD or SolidWorks.
• Equivalent experience would include use of CAD in updating key process related documents in an oil and gas or upper tier chemical plant setting.
• CAD/BIM software capability - Provide examples of relevant experience using CAD/BIM software in an oil and gas or upper tier chemical plant setting
• Relevant engineering CAD experience - Experience in updating key process related documents in an oil and gas or upper tier chemical plant setting.
• Drawing, modelling, or document control standards - Experience using an Client's internal drawing and document control standards to produce key process related documents using CAD or equivalent software. The intention is for the Contractor to use the Client's drawings standards as a template guidance for updating key project process related documents.
