Location: Eye, Suffolk
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Permanent, Full-Time | Site-Based

• Up to £35,000 depending on experience

The Role

We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Engineering & Design Team.

You will be responsible for producing accurate engineering, fabrication and construction drawings, preparing Bills of Materials and supporting the successful manufacture of customer-specific products.

You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and customer-facing teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical and meet the required technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and check engineering, fabrication and construction drawings.

• Prepare and check Bills of Materials and parts lists.

• Use Autodesk Inventor 3D, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Support the use and development of Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional.

• Apply Design for Manufacture principles and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives.

• Ensure all work meets company, quality and Health & Safety requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong engineering or manufacturing background and good technical understanding.

Essential:

• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

• Experience with 3D CAD, ideally Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or similar.

• AutoCAD experience.

• Experience producing Bills of Materials.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

Desirable:

• HND/Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related subject.

• ERP system experience.

• Knowledge of iLogic, Python or similar coding.

• Experience with Autodesk Vault or Continuous Improvement.

Location & Right to Work

This is a site-based role in Eye, Suffolk, so applicants must be able to reliably commute to the site.
