Car Compound Administrator

We are currently seeking a highly organised and motivated Car Compound Administrator to join a busy automotive operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment supporting vehicle logistics and stock management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vehicle records, documentation, and movements are accurately managed while providing administrative support to the compound and transport teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle arrivals, departures, and stock movements.

  • Update vehicle information using internal systems and databases.

  • Process vehicle documentation, delivery notes, and transport paperwork.

  • Schedule vehicle collections and deliveries with transport providers.

  • Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding vehicle movements.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with vehicle audits.

  • Investigate and resolve administrative discrepancies.

  • Produce reports and maintain filing systems.

  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally.

  • Ensure all documentation complies with company procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within the automotive, logistics, transport, or fleet sector.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).

  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within a vehicle compound, dealership, fleet, or logistics environment.

  • Knowledge of vehicle stock management systems.

  • Understanding of transport and vehicle administration processes.
