We are recruiting for a compassionate and caring Care Assistant to join a dedicated team within a warm and welcoming residential care setting in Crosby.
This is a 33-hour per week day position, offering the opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents in a friendly and supportive environment. You will play an important role in promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing while helping residents enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
The service is a charming, characterful Victorian property set in a peaceful location close to local transport links and the seafront. It provides residential and respite care for up to 20 residents, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia.
The SettingThis is a true "home from home" environment where residents are treated as individuals and supported to live life their way. The home offers spacious communal lounges, a separate dining area, comfortable personalised bedrooms, and welcoming spaces where families are encouraged to visit at any time.
Residents are supported to maintain independence wherever possible, with care tailored to personal routines, preferences, and interests. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on respect, choice, and dignity.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents.
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities.
- Promote residents' independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
- Support residents with social activities and encourage meaningful engagement.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any changes to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting is desirable.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential).
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Competitive pay of £12.71 per hour.
