Care Assistants – Day and Night Staff Required The Old Rectory, Ewhurst

At The Old Rectory, we take pride in providing exceptional, person-centred care in a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment. We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join our friendly team, with opportunities available for both day and night staff.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work as part of a close-knit and professional team, supporting older adults receiving nursing, respite, and rehabilitation care.

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in promoting the wellbeing, dignity, comfort, and independence of our residents. You will provide respectful, high-quality support across care, housekeeping, and dining services, helping to ensure that every resident feels valued, safe, and at home.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care needs while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
  • Assisting residents during mealtimes and supporting individual dietary needs.
  • Encouraging participation in daily routines, social activities, and events.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in line with infection control standards.
  • Working closely with care, kitchen, housekeeping, and nursing teams to provide seamless support.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in residents’ wellbeing or condition to senior staff.
  • Contributing to a warm, inclusive, and positive atmosphere within the home.
  • You will also be expected to act as a positive role model to colleagues and support the values and standards of The Old Rectory.

  • Previous experience in care, hospitality, or domestic services is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
