As a Care Assistant at Welwyn Grange, you will play an important role in creating a professional, safe and comfortable home for our residents, while delivering the highest quality, person-centred care with Competence, Choice and Compassion.

You will provide hands-on support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, meals and mobility, while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing. Most importantly, you will get to know our residents as individuals, understanding their needs, preferences and interests and supporting them to have choice and control over their daily lives.

You’ll work as part of a friendly and supportive team, building positive relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues. Whether it’s providing practical support, having a chat over a cup of tea or helping someone take part in an activity they enjoy, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day.

About You

You don’t necessarily need previous experience of working in care. What matters most is that you are caring, compassionate and genuinely want to make a difference to the lives of others. Full training and support will be provided.

You will have a positive and supportive approach, good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. You’ll be reliable, patient and willing to learn, with a commitment to treating every resident as an individual and promoting their dignity, independence and choice.

Most importantly, you will share our values of Competence, Choice and Compassion and be passionate about providing the best possible care to our residents
