SCHOOL CARETAKER PERMANENT PART TIME 

Location: Near Datchet, Berkshire
£14.50–£14.90 per hour | 20 hours per week | Permanent, Term-Time

We are looking for a reliable and practical School Caretaker / Assistant Site Controller to join a welcoming secondary school. This is a permanent, part-time, term-time position offering 12 weeks’ holiday per year.

The Role

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 3:00pm–6:00pm

  • Thursday: 3:00pm–8:30pm

  • Secure and lock the school site

  • Set up rooms for events and activities

  • Support private lettings and weekend football

  • Carry out basic maintenance and general site duties

  • Report health and safety issues

  • Help keep the site safe, clean and well presented

The Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable, trustworthy and practical

  • Comfortable working independently and outdoors

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Basic DIY or maintenance experience desirable

  • Previous caretaker, facilities, maintenance or handyman experience advantageous

Additional weekend work during football season may be available at £17.57 per hour.
