Location: Birmingham
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: £17.11 per hour inc. hol. pay
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Caretaker to work within a school environment in Birmingham.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• General caretaking and facilities duties across the site
• Ensure the school premises are clean, safe and well maintained
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs where required
• Open and secure buildings as required
• Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture/equipment
• Carry out regular checks of the building and grounds
• Report any faults, damage or maintenance issues
• Support the wider facilities team with day-to-day tasks
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous Caretaker or Facilities Management experience preferred
• Good general maintenance skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility is essential as different shift patterns may be required
• Previous experience working within a school or similar environment would be advantageous
