Caretaker Team Leader

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Are you an experienced caretaker with strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high standards? We are looking for a dedicated Caretaker Team Leader to join our Asset Management team. About the Role
As a Caretaker Team Leader, you will oversee multiple caretaking teams, ensuring estates are maintained to a consistently high standard. You will supervise daily operations, monitor performance, and support your team in delivering excellent service.
You will also manage your own patch, ensuring sites are well maintained while coordinating low-level maintenance, compliance checks, and grounds maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support caretaking teams across multiple sites
- Ensure estates are clean, safe, and maintained to a high standard
- Monitor and complete work tickets within agreed timeframes
- Oversee minor repairs, maintenance tasks, and waste management
- Manage and maintain the PAT testing programme and equipment logs
- Approve and monitor team purchases and stock levels
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Liaise with internal teams, scheme managers, and external stakeholders
- Support training, development, and performance of team members
- Contribute to continuous service improvement and resident satisfaction
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role
- Experience supervising or leading teams
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Practical maintenance skills and problem-solving ability
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
- Ability to manage workloads across multiple sites effectively
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- A full UK Licence with access to a vehicle
