VGC Group are looking for an experienced Carpenter Charge Hand to join our team on the prestigious HS2 project. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a leading infrastructure recruitment and support services provider.

Experience: 2 Years+ Supervisory Experience

Experienced Carpenter Charge Hand required for HS2 Your role as a Carpenter Charge Hand will be based on the HS2 project and will consist of:
- Leading and supervising a team of carpenters to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Allocating daily tasks and coordinating labour and materials to meet project targets.
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications to ensure works are carried out correctly.
- Monitoring workmanship and productivity, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Working closely with site management, engineers, and other trades to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Conducting site briefings and promoting a positive health and safety culture across the workforce.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with HS2 standards, company procedures, and industry regulations.
- Supporting project delivery by maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Based in Birmingham remuneration for this role is £24.96 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
