Carpenter – Void Properties

Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
Rate: £21.40 per hour (CIS)

About the Role

Build Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Carpenter to join a busy voids and planned maintenance team.

You will be working on vacant social housing properties, carrying out a range of carpentry repairs and refurbishment works to ensure properties are brought back up to a high standard and ready for new tenants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpenter who is confident working independently and completing a variety of repairs within void properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a range of carpentry repairs and maintenance works within void properties

  • Complete repairs to doors, frames, locks, kitchens, skirting boards and other internal carpentry

  • Carry out first and second fix carpentry where required

  • Complete associated minor multi-trade works where required

  • Ensure all properties are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales

  • Work independently and manage workloads effectively

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry, or equivalent qualification

  • Proven experience working as a Carpenter, ideally within social housing or void properties

  • Experience carrying out a range of domestic carpentry repairs

  • Ability to complete basic secondary trade works

  • Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points) 

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
