UPVC Carpenter (Multi-Skilled)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UPVC Carpenter to join our Property Services team. The role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and installation of UPVC doors, windows, and associated components across occupied and void properties. You'll also carry out general carpentry and minor multi-trade repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install UPVC doors, windows, locks, hinges, handles, and glazing components.
• Diagnose faults and complete first-time fixes where possible.
• Carry out general carpentry repairs, including doors, frames, kitchens, flooring, and fencing.
• Undertake minor glazing repairs and replace sealed units as required.
• Complete basic multi-trade works, including plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating, and making good.
• Work safely, comply with health and safety standards, and maintain accurate job records.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in UPVC window and door repairs and installations.
• Skilled in general carpentry and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of UPVC locking systems, hinges, handles, and hardware.
• Experience working in occupied residential properties.
• Ability to carry out minor multi-trade repairs.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• Experience in social housing or reactive maintenance.
• Glazing experience, including sealed unit replacement.
• Knowledge of fire door repairs.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
