Carpenter

Temporary Handyman / Carpenter (CSCS Blue Required)
Location: HMP Channings Wood
Pay: Competitive (DOE)

We're currently looking for an experienced Carpenter to join a refurbishment project at HMP Channings Wood.

This is a hands-on role working on site refurbishments, carrying out a range of carpentry and general maintenance tasks within a secure environment.

Duties include:

• General first and second fix carpentry

• Hanging and adjusting doors

• Fitting skirting, architraves and ironmongery

• Installing timber fixtures and fittings

• General handyman and snagging duties

• Assisting with refurbishment works as required

• Maintaining a safe and tidy working area

Requirements:

• Previous carpentry and handyman experience

• Blue CSCS Card Required

• Own tools with Chop saw and M class extraction, an air fed mask as secondary RPE.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

• Ability to pass prison security clearance

• DBS and ideally BPSS
