We are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties.

Working in occupied and void homes, you'll carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out responsive and planned carpentry repairs within social housing properties.
  • Repair, replace, and install:
    • Internal and external doors
    • Door frames and architraves
    • Skirting boards
    • Kitchens and worktops
    • Flooring and timber structures
    • Locks, ironmongery, and door furniture
    • Windows and timber repairs
  • Complete first and second fix carpentry work.
  • Undertake minor multi-trade tasks where required, including basic plumbing, tiling, decorating, or patch plastering.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work using handheld devices or paperwork.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues.
  • Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and well maintained.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working as a Carpenter, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or responsive repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
