What you’ll be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for IFG bank reconciliations, ensuring all reconciliations are completed by WD1 each month.
- Post all cash transactions for IFG bank account daily, investigating and resolving any outstanding queries by month-end.
- Prepare, reconcile, and process the weekly ParentPay reports.
- Post transaction fees relating to VMS, Arbor, Bromcom, ParentMail, and ParentPay.
- Post manual payments and receipts to the nominal ledger, including HMRC VAT payments, pension contributions, payroll transactions, advances, and imported Accounts Payable direct debit transactions.
- Prepare and post journals accurately within Sage.
- Responsible for the suspense accounts, ensuring all outstanding items are investigated and resolved promptly.
What are we looking for?
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 year’s proven experience in analysing and reconciling Bank accounts.
- Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve variances accurately and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of key finance functions, including invoicing, accrual accounting, and double-entry accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships and resolve issues professionally at all levels of the organisation.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to use initiative and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (XLOOKUP knowledge desirable).
