Job description
Our client based in Saltley, Birmingham require Category C (LGV Class 2) drivers for temporary to permanent positions with immediate starts. When full-time, the earning potential can be between £60k and £65k p/a, breaks are paid in full, which equates to an additional £4k p/a (approx). Training and support is provided at all times from an operational point of view. Duties consist of completing between 7 and 15 store deliveries of per shift on a designated route within an 80 mile radius of Birmingham. Adhering to the systems in place is critical for the benefits of health and safety and good practice. All vehicles are modern and well maintained. Excellent facilities and additional benefits such as 50% discount from all stores. Secure parking is also available. This is possibly one of the highest paid Class C roles in the Midlands.

Pay Rates Up to 12 Weeks Period
  • Mon to Fri, £15.50 p/h PAYE, up to 8 hours per shift. £23.25 p/h PAYE after 8 hours worked.
  • Saturday, £23.25 p/h PAYE, up to 8 hours per shift, flat rate all hours worked.
  • Sunday and Bank Holidays, £31.00 p/h PAYE, up to 8 hours per shift, flat rate all hours worked.
Pay Rates After 12 Weeks Worked
  • Mon to Fri, £17.50 p/h PAYE, up to 39 hours per shift. £26.25 p/h PAYE after 39 hours worked.
  • Saturday, £26.25 p/h PAYE
  • Sunday, £35.00 p/h PAYE
  • Bank Holidays, up to £52.50 p/h PAYE
  • 45 minute breaks paid.
  • Triple time for working Bank Holiday or double time and day in leu'.
  • Potential qualification of profit share which can be an additional £2k to £3k per annum in addition to hourly rate (when full time). 
Shift Pattern
  • Each successful candidate will be placed on a shift rota which will consist of between 5 to 6 shifts per week within 7 day, Monday to Sunday period (Saturday or Sunday work will be potentially be included).
  • Choice of start times from 21:00 to 00:30 (nights) or 11:00 to 15:30 (afternoons). Each successful candidate must be available to start work within those start time windows.
