Category Manager

This Category Manager role in the Not For Profit sector is based in Aylesbury and focuses on managing procurement categories to drive value and efficiency. You'll play a key part in overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring the organisation gets the best possible outcomes from its supply chain.

Description

• Develop and manage category strategies to meet organisational objectives.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure value for money and quality services.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong working relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and provide effective solutions.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
• Analyse market trends to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders on category performance.

Profile

A successful Category Manager should have:

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
• Ability to analyse data and market trends effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A relevant qualification in procurement or supply chain is desirable.

Job Offer

• Salary between £50,000 and £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• 6% pension contribution.
