Catering Assistant in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Catering Assistants to work in a hospital based in Stoke-On-Trent.

We are looking for the Catering Assistant to work in the retail unit handling cash/card payments and cooking hot food stores deliveries.

Please note- you will be required at times to work in a cold environment

Key accountabilities include-

Ensuring that all meals are prepared presented and served correctly to patients in wards following set procedures and standards.

Disassembling meals from wards and general washing up.

Work as part of a team to provide a quality catering service around the hospital site in a friendly and purposeful manner.

Attend training courses both in- company and elsewhere to meet and enhance the service of the Department.

Preparing meals for delivery to wards with correct dishes as ordered.

You must be flexible to work early and late shifts- the hours will be 7am-2.30pm or 11.30am- 7pm. You will work 5 out of 7 days a week, so you must be available to work weekends.

The hourly rate is starting from £12.71 PAYE.

You must have previous experience within a catering role.
